Since watching her Nana make cakes as little girl, Crystal Johnson has always labeled herself as a “kitchen kind of girl.” Cooking and coming up with new ideas is something that she love to do and is what led her to liking sweets and wanting to learn more. The 29 year old Phoenix, Arizona native did a lot of research online and created her own spin to everything that she learned. This is what led Johnson to creating her business, Chocolate Dipped Kisses.

When did you first become interested in making sweet treats? How did it start?

I have alway made chocolate dipped strawberries for family and friends. I would give them for birthdays, parties, work parties, and other events that I attended. I always get asked where did I get the berries from, and when I told them I made them they said no way! Everyone one would tell me they look so professional and beautiful. I have always wanted to cook and bake for people. I love being in the kitchen. I just said one day I’m going to start and nothing is going to stop me this time. I did research months prior to prepare myself for how it might go, and other peoples experience. I went ahead and started my business and orders were coming in I was getting excited. It went amazing! It’s was very stressful, exciting, fun and I Enjoyed myself. I want to do so much more with this business. I can’t wait for people to see what I have coming next.

Chocolate dipped strawberries, caramel apples, and breakable hearts.

How did you come up with the name Chocolate Dipped Kisses?

I’ve always used the name chocolate kisses and I wanted to add it to the name, so I added kisses because of the strawberries bright red color.

What’s something you’d like your future and potential customers to know?

That I have a lot of ideas in my head, and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for them, and my business.
