From working as a caterer in heels to hosting in house shoes, food blogger Gia Reynolds has always had a love for food and people.
Reynolds worked at Subway, other fast food restaurants, and a catering company call Encore Encore before she started her career at bank, where she worked for 23 years.
Even though the job at the bank wasn’t a career in the food industry, Reynolds still cooked for work. Always being sure to cook for and feed her team there. Even being a mother-figure to them.
I was a mother-figure everywhere I went. If people needed something, I had it. Safety pin, lotion, toothpaste.
While headed to work one day I fell and as a result I had a serious back injury, and had to have corrective surgery. I laid in the bed recovering, and all I could think about was how I would never be able to host parties, and cater like I did in the past. While recovering I started formulating recipes and party ideas that I would do when I got better. I was determined not to let this injury keep me from my passion.
Three years ago during Christmas in July, on July 25, 2019 to be exact, Reynolds started her food blog, House Shoe Hostess.
