Highlighting The Career of Brooklyn’s Own, Kassius Brikkz

In the late 2000’s, mixtapes were heavy in the streets and were starting to take over the internet as well. Artists like Lil Wayne, Juelz Santana, and Lloyd Banks were all killing the mixtape scene and became an inspiration for Brooklyn’s own, Kassius Brikkz. While being inspired and also preparing to become a father around the same time, Brooklyn’s Brikkz started to take recording music serious. He released his first mixtape Out the Basement at the age of 17.

Staying consistent with music, Brikkz released his project, Soul in the Hole in 2016 all of major streaming services. The 8 track project solidified the Bedford-Stuyvesant emcee as one to look out for. Gaining comparisons to fellow New Yorkers like Mase and Fabulous.

Besides having a a buzz on the music scene, Kassius became a household name on social media in the plus size community with his admiration for full figured beauties. This led him to establishing Kurvz 4 Dayz, a plus size entertainment agency. Not only did he cater to the plus size community with the agency, he tied in his music in with it all as well. Releasing singles like Kurvz and Fupa.

The latest project from Brikkz is 031, released in 2020. The upcoming untitled project is expected in the fourth quarter of 2021.
