We lost legendary southern emcee, Pimp C back in 2007. While it has been over a decade since his departure, his legacy is still being kept alive with the the help of his wife, Chinara Bulter. I got to chat with the Trill Queen in Atlanta after her interview with CashColorCannabis. We discussed some of Pimp C’s favorite dishes, his cooking skills, and the Sweet James Jones Hickory Sweet Cannabis-Infused BBQ Sauce.
The Hip-Hop Foodie: Did Pimp C know how to cook?
Chinara: People don’t know this about my husband. I would come home to five course meals. Pasta with the cheese in it, sausages, and red sauce.
The Hip-Hop Foodie: What did he like for you to cook for him?
Chinara: Definitely smothered pork chops.
The Hip-Hop Foodie: So what were some of Pimp C’s favorite foods?
Chinara: He really loved barbecue. Different pastas as well with the special red sauce.
The Hip-Hop Foodie: What was his favorite dessert?
Chinara: Sweet potato pie…. *big huge smile*
Chinara described the Sweet James Jones Hickory Sweet Cannabis-Infused BBQ Sauce as “on some other shit” and said that she is in love with it. She mentioned how she is not a fast food fan, but would go to McDonald’s and Chick-fil-A just to dip the sauce. I tried the sauce on some Chick-fil-A nuggets and loved it. Unfortunately the sauce is not available online. Catch it in California dispensaries.
