Back in July of 2021, Charles Isaac chopped it up with The Hip-Hop Foodie to talk about his handcrafted multipurpose sauce, Eezy Sauce. Now the food lover and culinary professional has tapped into his author bag. His new cookbook, Eezy Recipes: For Date Night is full of sexy recipes and now available on Amazon Kindle.
What inspired you to do a cookbook?
Cooking has always been my way of making people smile. I love seeing people enjoy a good meal, and over the years, I realized food was more than just something to eat. It’s an experience. After going through some rough years, I wanted to do something for myself that reflected my passion. This cookbook is not just about recipes…it’s a way of reclaiming my confidence and sharing something I love with the world.
What inspired the date night concept?
Food and romance go hand in hand. I’ve always believed that a well cooked meal can set the tone for an unforgettable night. I wanted to create something that helps people…especially men…to impress their partners with food that’s sexy, fun, and full of flavor. Plus I had fun with the titles and descriptions making the cookbook feel less like a chore and more like a playbook for good vibes in the kitchen.
How long did you work on the project itself?
It’s been in the works for a while but I really buckled down over the past few months to bring it to life. Between juggling work, parenting, and my other projects, finding time to perfect these recipes and the concept has been a journey. But I’m at the point where I’m locking in and making sure it’s everything I envisioned.
What’s the latest with Eezy Sauce? Will there be a relaunch of the brand?
EEZY Sauce is still very much alive, and I’ve been working behind the scenes to expand its potential. There’s definitely going to be a relaunch, but I want to do it right and better than before…new flavors, better branding, and making sure it reaches more people. The goal is to make EEZY Sauce a staple in kitchens everywhere and I’m taking my time to get it there.
What’s something you’d like all of your supporters to know?
I appreciate every single person who has supported me, whether it’s through EEZY Sauce, my cookbook, or just following my journey. Life has thrown me some curveballs, but I refuse to let it keep me down. I want my story to show people that no matter what happens, you can always rebuild, refocus, and come back stronger.
