In celebration of 50 years of hip-hop, the Atlanta Journal Constitution has released a new original documentary titled “The South Got Something to Say.” The documentary details the rise of Atlanta’s hip-hop scene and is titled after Andre’s iconic line at the 1995 Source Awards. The documentary reflects back to the 70’s when hip-hop started in New York and highlights the start of hip-hop in Atlanta in the early 80’s with pioneers like Mojo and MC Shy D.
